On Saturdays year round, and Sundays from Easter to March the Broome markets take place near the courthouse. Starting at 8 am and lasting till 1 pm it's a good little market to check out for local art and food.
We started our day with a refreshing iced coffee from Kimberly Coffee and walked around the stands. Places selling jewelry, paintings, clothing, sunglasses, and more fill the small sandy park.
One stand sells about 20 different flavors of giant licorice. I got tutti fruitti, strawberry, and lemon cola.
The jewelry stands sell lots of beads, silver, and other various types. This little silver necklace piece caught my eye.
After looking at all the market wares it was time to try some of the food. True Blue burger and crepes have a great stand. We were lucky to get the last of their salmon, avocado, feta, and egg crepe.
Afterward, it was time for two more treats. First was an apple, carrot, and ginger juice. The second a half hour Thai massage in the tent nearby. Just as the heat of the day was taking over it was time to leave the market refreshed and relaxed.
